In This Role, You Will
- Manage the Emerging Middle Market (EMM) segments in merchant, as a business and making decisions in the day-to-day that align to business objectives
- Manage and develop a Merchant Services Sales team of individual contributors in roles with moderate complexity and risk
- Deliver against sales performance goals through consistent sales management routines to achieve outcomes of effectives sales, pipeline, and deal flow.
- Add or develop talent through forward-hiring and increasing education to deliver vertically focused subject matter expertise through the sales teams
- Build high performing teams through strong hiring, talent development and performance management
- Engage and influence banking partners, stakeholders and internal Merchant Services partners to drive business, garner support and partner to achieve shared goals
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and development of service standards and goals within Merchant Services Sales
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Merchant Services Sales team to resolve complex problems or inquiries
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Merchant Services Sales
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- A demonstrated focus on coaching, mentoring, guiding team member development and maintaining employee performance improvement
- 6 years of Merchant Services Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3 years of management or leadership experience
- 3 years of Merchant Services management or leadership experience
- Experience in supporting middle market clients
- Strong prospecting, sales, and negotiation skills
- Experience working directly with commercial banking and corporate banking customers.
- Experience successfully leading teams through transformational change
- Highly refined communicator, with experience presenting effective and influential presentations to senior management and other levels of the organization
- Operational risk management experience
- Experience leveraging data, analytics tools and resources to build reporting, make business decisions and solve problems
- Experience positively influencing, motivating, and directing diverse teams in a decentralized, and geographically dispersed environment
- Proven ability to facilitate high impact conversations, manage and building relationships with leaders and team members, navigate conflict and negotiate for an outcome that balances the needs of the business
- Experience articulating complex concepts in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
