Operational Accounting Associate

In This Role, You Will

• Perform operational accounting activities related to account reconcilement and maintenance
• Provide operational accounting support to internal business groups or operations departments to ensure that accounts are being managed within the account policy requirements
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
• Evaluate the operational accounting transactions and maintenance of operational accounting controls
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Document research, findings, actions, and resolution according to internal case handling procedure.
• Maintain daily reports efficiently and in accordance with compliance guidelines.
• Perform reconciliation related tasks as directed pertaining to customer statements and customer set-up within internal core systems.
• Answer internal and external questions as it pertains to customer set-up, such as statements, fee assessment, revenue share schedule, payments and credit limit inquiries.
• Research and take appropriate correction actions to resolve out of balance condition with general ledger and DDA accounts.
• Complete additional tasks as requested by leadership for special projects or new tasks related to the line of business.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 6 months of Operational Accounting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Financial services experience
• Understanding of reconciliation process
• Accounts Payable/Receivable and/or Revenue/expense auditing experience
• Experience with WellsOne Commercial Card product
• Understanding of risk and compliance
• Experience working with TSYS, Service View and Eagleweb systems
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
