About this role:
Physical Collateral Examination: Performs physical inspections of commercial business inventories to assess their condition in order to provide prompt and accurate reporting. Covers jobs performing physical inspections of commercial business inventories to assess their condition in order to provide prompt and accurate reporting to confirm their collateralized position. May also be involved in responding to customer inquiries, questions, documentation issues, billing errors, disputes, and program changes.
Territory based in Columbia, SC. You must live in assigned territory for efficiency purposes or be willing to relocate.
In this role, you will:
Schedule and route daily travel to customer locations within an assigned geographic area, incorporating overnight stays to reduce travel time for optimum productivity.
Physically inspect inventory and assess the condition to confirm the collateralized position.
Reconcile discrepancies with the customer and document details to support final inventory inspection results.
Build relationships with customers through setting inspection expectations, answering questions, providing support with payment systems and raising customer growth inquiries to our commercial and portfolio teams.
Communicate with manager, account manager and peers to resolve issues and escalate risks.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
6 months of Collateral Examination experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
6 months of auditing experience
Customer service experience
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Able to anticipate and adapt to rapidly changing, growth-oriented environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Proficient knowledge of business practices and processes
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to negotiate with customers to obtain necessary documentation.
Strong problem solving and mathematical skills
Job Expectations:
Must be willing to travel overnight
Ability to push/pull 50 pounds and lift 25 pounds
Ability to work in outdoor environments up to 8 hours per day A
Ability to travel daily with 4 or more hours of driving per day
Reliable transportation for daily business travel
Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
