Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Parts Manager to join our team at Wellsboro Equipment, a leading Bobcat and Massey Ferguson dealership. As the Parts Manager, you will oversee the parts department's daily operations, ensuring optimal inventory management, customer service, and efficient parts distribution for both sales and service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory of parts and accessories, ensuring availability and timely ordering of parts.
- Coordinate and oversee the parts ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control processes.
- Provide expert knowledge and recommendations to customers on parts and accessories for equipment.
- Work closely with the service department to ensure the timely availability of parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor parts department staff to provide excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of parts sales, inventory levels, and reorder points.
- Manage parts returns, warranty claims, and exchanges according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
- Work with the sales team to help customers select the right parts, ensuring their satisfaction with the products.
- Ensure that all department policies and procedures are followed to maintain a high standard of operational efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with new products and parts, along with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in parts management, preferably in the heavy equipment, automotive, or construction industry.
- Knowledge of Bobcat/Massey Ferguson parts, equipment, and service processes is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in parts management or related fields is a plus.
