- Crisis Intervention and Management: Respond promptly to psychiatric emergencies, employ de-escalation techniques, and collaborate with crisis response teams as needed.
- Therapeutic Communication and Support: Foster strong relationships with patients, provide emotional support and guidance, and facilitate group therapy sessions or educational workshops on mental health topics.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and secure environment, accurately document patient care, and stay current on best practices in psychiatric nursing.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active RN license in the practicing state.
- Education: ADN or BSN degree required.
- Certifications: BLS certification, CPI Certification, and RN-BC certification preferred.
