Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for clients with developmental disabilities.
- Provide direct support and assistance in daily living activities, promoting independence.
- Monitor client progress and adjust care strategies as needed to meet evolving needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and goals.
- Provide training and guidance on behavior management techniques for clients and staff.
- Document all interactions, progress notes, and incidents accurately in client records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of behavior management principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift clients as needed; physical stamina is required for this role.
