Job Overview
Wellspring Community is seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Manager to co-lead the management of our innovative in-person day programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role is pivotal in ensuring the high-quality delivery of in-person programs that foster independence, skill development, and community engagement for our participants. The Program Manager will collaborate with a second program manager to lead and support a team of direct service providers, promoting a collaborative, mission-driven culture. The Program Manager will have a caseload of DSP’s who they directly supervise and coach.
The Program Managers will be responsible for contributing to and implementing the overall strategy and program development as set by the Program Director. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Direct Support Providers through regular one-on-one coaching meetings and other managerial supervision.
- Manage day-to-day operations and oversee daily activities of in-person program.
- Spend time observing classes, both onsite and in the community, to assess quality and alignment with program goals, and provide developmental feedback to staff delivering services.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work culture.
- Monitor systems for health and compliance, including reviewing program notes, incident reports (such as MANE reports), and charting notes of staff.
- Support the development and execution of safety and crisis response protocols, serving as a member of the Crisis Crew Response Team.
- Manage portions of the day program budget, ensuring efficient use of resources for staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Collaborate with the in-person program leadership team to align program goals with organizational objectives.
- Build strong relationships with families, caregivers, and support teams to develop and maintain individualized plans that meet participants’ unique needs.
- Support staff in implementing positive behavior support plans and address behavioral challenges to create a supportive environment.
- Staff Development, Management, and evaluation in accordance with organization guidelines, agreements, and approved budgets.
- Collect and analyze data to assess program activities and outcomes; develop enhanced strategies and processes as needed
- Develop and execute the vision for two annual events—Winter Showcase and Summer Celebration, leading the planning and successful execution of these events, ensuring that all details are handled effectively, and the experience is enjoyable for all participants.
- Ensure the development, implementation, and compliance of safety procedures to protect program participants, staff, and volunteers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Special Education, Psychology, Human Services or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community or day program setting.
- Prior management or supervisory experience, including staff development and program oversight.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of person-centered planning and behavior supports.
- Ability to build strong relationships with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing services for individuals with IDD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Charting Systems.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
