Job Title : Clinical Nurse - Acute Care Nights
Job Specialty : RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient
Job Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift : Night (6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM), every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holidays
Guaranteed Hours : Not specified
Experience : Less than 1 year. Completion of accredited / approved school of nursing with required clinical hours and direct patient care experience preferred.
License : Registered Nurse - Single State or Multi-state Compact
Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Must-Have : Ability to read, write, and speak English. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Basic computer skills optimized for clinical care.
Job Description :
- Proactively participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, high-quality, safe patient care.
- Perform the Nursing Process using evidence-based practice and analytical / critical thinking skills, coordinating care through effective partnerships.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that considers population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others in care planning and delivery, using appropriate communication methods.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care, promoting a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, promoting recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance.
- Complete all professional competency assessments and required education.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice and nursing research, participating in evaluating patient care products and resource utilization.
- Plan for patient care across the continuum and support efficient use of resources.
- Participate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
- Comply with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
