Job Title: Demand Response Program Administrator – New York Region
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Demand Response (DR) Program Administrator to oversee and manage demand response programs within the New York region, specifically for the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) and Con Edison (ConEd) territories. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with program requirements, optimizing performance, and supporting customer participation. This role requires in-depth knowledge of NYISO and ConEd DR programs, including enrollment administration, curtailment planning, and auction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Response Program Administration:
o Oversee and manage the enrollment process for customers in NYISO and ConEd DR programs.
o Maintain accurate and timely records of customer enrollments, ensuring compliance with program rules and requirements.
o Administer and manage DR program adjustments, including Advanced Capability Limits (ACL) modifications, to align with program objectives.
2. Curtailment Target Setting:
o Develop and implement curtailment strategies to meet program obligations and optimize customer participation.
o Collaborate with internal teams to set realistic and achievable curtailment targets based on historical data and demand forecasts.
3. Auction and Market Operations:
o Participate in NYISO Spot and Strip Auctions, ensuring optimal bidding strategies to maximize program value.
o Monitor auction results and analyze outcomes to adjust strategies as needed.
4. Stakeholder Coordination:
o Work closely with customers, utility partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless program execution and alignment with market requirements.
o Serve as a subject matter expert on ConEd and NYISO DR programs, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
o Track and analyze DR program performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring adherence to program goals.
o Prepare and submit regular reports to stakeholders, including program performance summaries, compliance updates, and market insights.
6. Regulatory and Market Compliance:
o Stay up-to-date on NYISO and ConEd DR program rules, regulatory changes, and market developments.
o Ensure all activities comply with relevant policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Qualifications:
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with ConEd and NYISO DR programs.
o Hands-on experience with DR enrollment administration, ACL adjustments, and curtailment planning.
o Familiarity with Spot and Strip Auction processes and strategies.
