WellStone is North Alabama’s most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider serving over 13,000 persons a year in Huntsville and Cullman. We are a non-profit community organization that offers a wide range of services for every phase of life, from children to older adults.
We are hiring for a Geriatric Technician in Cullman, Alabama, Full time, Monday-Friday, 8-4
What we are looking for :
- Creative individual with artistic or musical abilities;
- Genuine respect and concern for the elderly; able to manage time and caseload with minimal supervision
- Must show ability to work cooperatively with a treatment team; knowledge of a diversity of treatment approaches; ability to work with Primary Therapist and nursing home staff to best meet the needs of the client and organization. Willingness to do group work as needed.
- High School Diploma ,GED
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct clinical services
- Ensure Basic Living Skills are provided as indicated on treatment plan
- Ensure Family Support is provided as indicated on treatment plan
- Complete administrative and clinical paperwork
- Provide clinical documentation which is present, accurate, timely, and in accordance to all regulatory standards
- Complete paperwork needed to open case immediately upon receipt from therapist
- Complete documentation needed to bill and collect for services
- Complete reports, documentation, and nursing home audits by established deadlines
- Completes documentation in Avatar daily
- Provide program support services
- Complete documentation in Avatar on a daily basis
- Assist Therapist in updating consents, getting Treatment Plan signatures, etc.
- Complete peer review as directed by supervisor
- Provides clinical services in other clinical settings as needed.
- Maintain Geriatric Services section in the nursing home medical record
- Maintain Spirit, Quality, and Productivity expectations
- Maintain quality to comply with WellStone standards
- Maintain spirit expected by WellStone
- Maintain acceptable level of productivity
- Follow established Geriatric Services policies and procedure
- Proficient in Microsoft office
