Job Description:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Senior Behavioral Health Unit in Watertown, WI. This unit specializes in inpatient psychiatric care for elderly patients dealing with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician.
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document observations.
- Assist with daily patient care tasks, including mobility and hygiene support.
- Maintain and restock patient rooms and care-related equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health technicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and recreational therapists, to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current LPN license in Wisconsin.
- At least one year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility.
- CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required within 60 days of hire.
