SUMMARY
The IT Manager will lead and mentor a team of IT Specialists, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of IT services to the real estate portfolio. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT support team, managing projects, and contributing to the overall IT strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of IT Specialists. Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the efficient and timely resolution of IT support requests, ensuring adherence to SLAs and customer satisfaction. Monitor the ticketing system and ensure appropriate prioritization and escalation of issues.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the processes and technologies used within the company, including: IT Service Management, Windows, printers/MFDs, mobile device management, Microsoft 365 suite, Okta (SSO), Active Directory / Entra, Zscaler, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Mimecast, and device imaging/deployment. Provide technical guidance and support to the team as needed.
- Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and implementation. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in IT processes and procedures. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation of IT processes, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Serve as a primary escalation point for IT service issues across the real estate portfolio.

Travel:
Up to 25% out-of-area and overnight travel may be required
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years in a management or team lead role. Experience in a managed services environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in the technologies listed, as well as experience with other relevant IT systems and tools.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of IT professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service across multiple sites, preferably in residential real estate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certifications, ITIL).
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
