What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Accountant position at Wellworks For You?
Wellworks For You is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This position will combine a series of strategic daily, weekly and monthly tasks, and special projects directly supporting the CFO.
This is a hybrid position requiring two days in office per week, with flexibility on which days. The position's hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, or 8am to 4pm. The salary range for this role is $50,000-$55,000 / annually.
What will your day look like?
- Enter vendor invoices and ensuring invoices are coded appropriately within the general ledger.
- Enter credit card activity and ensuring activity is coded appropriately within the general ledger.
- Post daily customer payments by recording Checks, ACH's and Credit Card Transactions.
- Ensure daily cash activity within the general ledger agrees to the bank postings.
- Lead month-end closing processes, internal reporting, and closing workpaper creation.
- Reconcile bank statements on a weekly basis.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, including payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Create and manage schedules to track and accrue certain expenses material to the business.
- Prepare quarterly sales commission calculation as well as monthly expense estimates.
- Define, execute and lead process improvement initiatives for lean and efficient workflow.
- Propose enhancements to the department & organization that will improve operational excellence and automate business processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A four-year degree at an accredited university with a specialization in accounting.
- A Minimum of two years' experience as a Staff Accountant
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a team environment as well as individually.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Experience reporting to a CFO, Controller, Director of Finance, or similar finance leadership position.
- An understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Minimum of intermediate Excel skills that take advantage of pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, SUMIF and COUNTIF formulas
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- QuickBooks Online experience, preferred but not required
- An ability to travel if needed.
