What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavator and Wheel Loader Operator - Yard position at Welspun Tubular LLC?
We are looking for various heavy equipment operators to join our yard team.
Wheel-Loader operator
o Ensure the safety of your co-workers around the equipment and work area.
o Operate the Wheel-Loader in accordance with the operating scope of the equipment.
o Comply with daily equipment checks as per Daily Inspection Checklist. Report malfunctions and damages to Supervisor promptly.
o Communicate with Supervisors and Maintenance about the operation of the equipment.
o Ensure the safety of your co-workers around the equipment and work area.
o Load and unload trucks, Inbounds, and Outbounds safely and timely.
o Feed and unload skids without incurring damage to pipe or downtime on the Plant Operations.
o Understand the paint/ribbon color coding for OD marking of bare and coated pipe, to segregate to correct storage locations.
Confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of cross-functional departments
Excavator Operator

Education and Experience:
heavy equipment experience is required.
Heavy equipment operator’s license, which includes completing a proficiency test with a passing score of at least 80%, evaluation of actual operation signed off by trainer or Supervisor, and a min of 160 hours seat time after getting license to become an Operator. High School Diploma or GED with 1 year related experience preferred.

Physical Demand and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus, including hand-eye coordination. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
