As a Substation Engineer for Welty Energy, you will provide engineering oversight on client substation projects,provide technical assistance to the Welty Project Management Team as requested,represent the client and provide best-in-class service while also consulting on select projects where your expertise and guidance is requested.
Responsibilities can include :
- Perform quality reviews on client substation projects designed by contracted engineering firms, focusing on one-line and three-line diagrams, AC and DC schematics, communication schemes, physical drawings, and perform spot-check on wiring diagrams.
- Verify projects are following all applicable client standards.
- Provide guidance to engineering firms on projects.
- Perform site visits when necessary.
- Interface with clients engineering groups and project management team to provide regular and timely updates.
- Consult on internal projects when requested by the Director, Project and Portfolio Management.
- Adherence to Welty Core Values, OPTIC (Openness, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer Centricity)
- Share knowledge and train oncoming Project Engineers.
- Establish trust and healthy rapport with client and contract engineer firms.
- Collaborate with Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment.
