GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position will be responsible for highly technical work that consists of the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaison with NCESD and WSIPC to coordinate district development plans with those of the cooperative.
- Provide technical assistance for accurate input and management of student data by all staff using the District’s Student Information System (Skyward).
- Assist in developing and implementing training of staff on SIS use.
- Assist in coordination, organization and facilitation of data related projects.
- Design, manage and/or maintain a variety of federal, state and local reports related to student data using a variety of software applications (Skyward, OSPI CEDARS, WAKIDS, TIDE, Homeroom).
- Provide technical assistance ensuring compliance with student record retention.
- Manage the School Information System (SIS) data entry and accuracy.
- Provide technical assistance to building records staff related to student enrollment.
- Prepare student enrollment reports in accordance with OSPI and District reporting requirements.
- Manage all CEDARS reporting.
- Set up Skyward Calendars, Terms, and Schedules to ensure accuracy and readiness well before the start of school (including Hot Lunch Counts).
- Assist Technology Director with Skyward SIS permissions for the district.
- Work with the Technology Director to ensure that Skyward SIS is working well for our needs across the district including problem solving issues.
- Upload student information into Skyward as needed (i.e. Vision Screening).
- Manage K-12 Report Card templates.
- Review data entry on state reports to ensure data entry accuracy (i.e. state discipline reports).
- Transmit OSPI enrollment changes
- Analyze procedures and standards of operations
- Make necessary revisions to ensure efficient operations
- Coordinate inquires from users and assist in resolving errors and conflicts
- Run reports as directed.
- Provide data as requested to users across the district.
- Facilitate bi-monthly meetings with building level student record staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Bachelor's degree in data processing or business administration preferred or comparable school district experience
- Expertise with school data management preferred
- Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of the current system, Skyward Student Information System and state regulations and requirements preferred.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s license.
