7.0 hours per day/191 days per year
Salary: $22.45 - $24.83 per hour
Position begins mid August
SUMMARY: Work primarily in the main office in partnership with the Office Manager, Administration and Family Advocate. Provide service and support students, parents, and staff. Perform a variety of secretarial duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Checks in building supply orders and routes to appropriate staff. Responsible for all school attendance to include; daily entry in Skyward, running reports to comply with building, district and state guidelines. Assist with the student registration process. Receive and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system, distribute mail and other printed materials to appropriate staff. Prepare correspondence, memoranda, bulletins, data tabulations and required district forms efficiently and accurately. Provide secretarial services for staff as directed by the administrator or office manager. Prepare materials for distribution to students. Provide accurate information to parents regarding school rules, regulations and events. Provides initial screening to all individuals and groups who enter the school. Work in close contact with parent and community groups in school-related activities. Administer first aid to students as needed. Coordinate medical aid with parents and professional medical personnel. Assist in accounting for monies received for lunches and school events as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. Secretarial/clerical experience required. Bilingual/bi-literate (English/Spanish) preferred. Strong organizational skills; task oriented, detail oriented; friendly, cheerful, positive attitude; flexible schedule. Strong computer knowledge. Experience with Skyward system (including tracking attendance and building reports) preferred; experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google products required. Experience with Red Rover preferred. Must have a calm and service oriented work ethic. Ability to work with constant interruptions and multitask. Excellent human relations and communication skills with all stakeholders. Ability to relate well to a diverse population of students, staff, and the public. Experience working with students and staff is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with the PBIS program is preferred. Possession of or ability to obtain First Aid/CPR card is required. Ability to perform basic health room functions. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are critical functions of this position.
