Overview of the Position:

  • Candidates located in Turkey are preferred. Other locations in the EMEA regional will be considered.

The Regional Sales Manager will work with the Chief Commercial Officer to ensure Sales Strategy for the EMEA region is created, aligned, and implemented. This position will work directly with key customers to solve their problems and grow Wencors business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a dynamic, highly creative, and competitive commercial aviation Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) sales organization by aggressively pursuing new customers and enhancing relationships with the existing customer base.
  • Perform tactical functions: prepare multi-year quote proposals, manage sales/engineering/customer interface, establish pricing, perform negotiations, manage customers and perform market analysis.
  • Identify new products and adjacent MRO market opportunities.
  • Identify, design and implement strategies to win new business and execute the tactics working with internal and external peers.
  • Meet with existing and potential key customers to build relationships and evaluate or promote business opportunities.
  • Work with customers and engineering to develop roadmap for new products and adjacent MRO market opportunities.
  • Ensure that the Sales Channel supports new product development goals of engineering and the growth objectives of the business.
  • Prepare definitive territory and business segment plans based on market research and competitive analysis to identify potential markets and new products.
  • Provide market feedback to repair facilities on new product development, market pricing, and general market trends.
  • Support financial reporting including forecasting, budgets, and quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Maintain relations with outside reps and intercompany Wencor sales teams
  • Ensure coordinated, responsive, and efficient service and problem resolution.
  • Participate in sales presentations and negotiations as appropriate to ensure maximum impact.
  • Utilize Industry trade shows, conferences, and social media, to position Wencor as primary provider of MRO solutions.
  • Participate in the development of bids and proposals that win business.
  • Utilizes on-line systems, Power BI, ownCloud, etc., to document interaction with customers and ensure effective management of opportunities and leads.
  • Manages travel and entertainment within established guidelines and expectations.

  • Ability to negotiate profitable contracts to secure long term business.
  • Proven experience entering new markets, changing market scope, or adding value to existing products.
  • Ability to accurately evaluate functionality, usability, and marketability of product features.
  • Highly collaborative individual with outstanding communication and networking skills
  • Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: presentation, writing, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
  • Hands-on individual with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering, MBA degree preferred. Five plus years commercial aviation MRO industry experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Sales experience expected.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
