Location : Salt Lake City, UT
Work Arrangement : Fully on-site with the potential for a hybrid schedule after training
Duration : 6–8 months with the potential for extension
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis, working directly under the Controller in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your extensive accounting expertise while contributing to key financial operations and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory reconciliations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.
