What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Banking Intern position at WesBanco Bank Inc.?
Yo u will have the opportunity to work with our Commercial Bankers, providing them with industry research, marketing materials, and prospect identification. W ork s with Commercial Underwriting and Credit Support to observe and learn the process for spreading financial statements, putting together a complete loan package, and completing a credit memorandum for reviewwiththe Sr. Credit Officer . O nce a loan is approved, obtain s all needed information to prepare for a loan closing.
Essential Function
Banking is a highly regulated industry, and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides i ndustry r esearch .
Prepar es marketing materials .
Assesses p rospect i dentification- using resources such as LinkedIn, publications, etc.
Use s the s ales m anagement s ystem for lead identification and input .
Collect s and monitor s financial information .
Work s with Portfolio Manager's and Relationship Managers with client support .
Assist s with loan modifications .
Observe s and learn s the process for spreading financial statements .
Observe s and learn s the process for putting together a complete loan package .
Observe s and learn s the process of completing a credit memorandum for review with the Senior Credit Officer .
Observe s and learn the process once a deal is approved of obtaining all needed information and preparing for a loan closing .
Prepares and delivers a presentation at program close, meeting the specifications of the manager.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
