Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of clerical and delivery duties, such as sorting incoming mail for distribution, dispatching outgoing mail and operating mail room equipment. Responsibilities include picking up and delivering mail, correspondence, documents, packages, supplies, and other items internally, traveling by foot or vehicle to other branches or locations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Examines and processes outgoing mail, stamps outgoing mail by hand or with postage meter, weighs mail to verify postage, and keeps record of registered mail.
Sorts incoming mail by department and type, and uses scanning capabilities as needed.
Makes deliveries and picks up daily at the post office, SuperMail, banking centers, bank departments and in-town businesses.
Operates all machinery in the mail room such as scale, mail machines, folder, inserter, copier/scanner, and calculator.
Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
Folds letters or circulars and insert in envelopes. Weighs mail to verify postage. Keeps record of registered mail.
Makes mail deliveries and pickups inside bank premises adhering to set schedule.
Provides customer service by selling stamps for mail.
Assists with periodic mass mailings for various departments within the bank.
Other duties as assigned.
