We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. ```Duties```
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse history and mental health needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' unique needs and goals
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address underlying issues related to substance abuse
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to promote behavior change
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and relapse prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
```Experience```
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CADC, LCADC)
- Experience working with individuals with substance abuse disorders
- Knowledge of various treatment modalities for substance abuse, including psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care
- Understanding of medical records management and compliance with ICD-9 coding
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
