  • Employees, and their families if elected, can participate in medical and vision insurance (full time and ACA eligible), dental (full time) and group life (employee only for full time, excludes part-time and on-call staff).
  • We offer a combined paid time off (PTO) policy which incorporates state paid sick leave with company paid time off at an accrual rate of 0.0607 per hour worked, equivalent to 120 hours of PTO at 2,080 hours worked in a year. We also offer 6 Paid Holidays (8 hours for full time and 6 hours for part time per event, excludes on-call staff) and 1 Personal Holiday of Choice per year (excludes on-call staff).
  • Retirement planning is encouraged through our 403(b) plan that includes a generous 100% company match on the first 4% of earnings an employee contributes. There is a 5-year vesting schedule on the company match, and minors are ineligible for the company match.
  • A food and beverage discount of 50% is available to all employees at any Wesley bistro. Employees are also eligible for On-Demand Pay with Dayforce Wallet. Minors need parental consent to access this benefit.
  • To assist employees with challenges outside of the workplace, Wesley offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which is 100% company paid. Additionally, Wesley Community Foundation provides grants to qualifying employees as detailed in the plan summary.

Enrich the lives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the Manager of Training and Development role. In this capacity, you will be responsible for enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of our workforce. The Manager of Training and Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a learning and development program that aligns with the company's mission, growth goals and operational objectives. You will provide continuing care through these responsibilities

Essential functions of this position include the following. 

• Learning Strategy Development : Develop and implement learning and developmentstrategies that support organizational goals and employee career development. Assisting orleading the effort to identify skills gaps. 

• Program Design and Delivery: Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs, workshops,and learning initiatives to address specific skill gaps and developmental needs. 

• Content Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and curate highquality training materials, e-learning modules, job aids and other and resources. 

• Leadership Development: Create and oversee leadership development programs to buildmanager effectiveness and a pipeline of future leaders within the organization. 

• Performance Evaluation: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assessthe effectiveness of learning and development initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly. 

• Budget Management: Manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost effective delivery of programs and resources. 

• Vendor Management: Identify and collaborate with external training vendors, consultants, and educational institutions when necessary. 

• Learning Technology: Stay current with learning technology trends and leverage them to enhance the learning experience, including learning management systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms. Assisting or leading the effort to identify and ensure that state and federal training and professional certification requirements are met, including identifying such requirements and implementing a system to track and verify compliance. 

• Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from employees, managers, and stakeholders to continuously improve learning and development programs. Providing feedback to management on the effectiveness of operational policies and practices and recommendations for improvements. 

• Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Developing or assisting in the development of policies. 


Our requirements and qualifications for success 

• Professional HR certification (i.e. PHR, SHRM-SCP, CPTD, CPTM, etc.) 

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, a related field, orequivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred. 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in learning and development, with 3 years in amanagerial or leadership role. 

• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. • Proven experience in designing and delivering a variety of training programs. 

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills. 

• Strong project management and organizational skills. 

• Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning tools. 

• Familiarity with branding guides and design software such as Canva. 

• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. 

• Ability to commute regionally to worksites; same day travel. 


Physical, environmental, and mental requirements 

• Position requires repetitive motion such as working on computer terminal. 

• Standard working environment involves an administrative office areas and meeting spaces. 

• Be able to sit, stand, bend and lift as necessitated by the job responsibilities. 

• Ability to maintain focus and concentration; actively engage with others despite surrounding distractions.

Salary Range: $77,977.20 to $112,216 per year
