Information Technology Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Specialist to support our IT infrastructure and business systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The IT Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with service providers to ensure continuous improvements, creating and maintaining IT documentation control systems, training end-users on software and technology, and monitoring system performance to detect and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Service Provider Coordination
- Work closely with third-party IT service providers to ensure continuous improvement of IT infrastructure and facilities.
- Assist in planning and implementing upgrades, patches, and system improvements.
- Monitor IT infrastructure performance and security to ensure optimal functionality.
IT Documentation & Control Systems
- Develop and maintain IT document control systems to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Create and update IT policies, procedures, system guides, and technical documentation.
- Ensure proper version control and accessibility of IT documentation.
User Training & Support
- Provide training to employees on business software systems, IT tools, and security best practices.
- Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up IT accounts and providing system orientation.
System Performance Monitoring & Proactive Issue Detection
- Analyze system performance reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for optimization.
- Implement proactive detection mechanisms to identify and resolve IT issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with IT management to develop strategies for improving system uptime and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure management, or a related role.
- Experience working with IT service providers and vendors.
- Proficiency in IT documentation, business systems training, and IT compliance.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, troubleshooting, and system monitoring to prevent errors and improve efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and support users.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with ERP software, cybersecurity best practices, and cloud-based systems is a plus.
Work Schedule & Additional Expectations:
- This role primarily operates during standard business hours; however, the nature of IT support and infrastructure maintenance may require occasional work outside of business hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call support as needed.
