- Prior accounting experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is required;
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and private insurance;
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills;
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines;
- Knowledge of nursing home business functions.
- Ability to maintain and organize resident trust accounts under federal and state guidelines.
- 10-key recommended by touch, typing ability, including experience with computers.
- Deal effectively with residents, public and co-workers.
- Ability to supervise business office staff.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work within deadlines.
