Wesscapes is a full-service outdoor contracting company specializing in landscape and hardscape design, installation and maintenance. Wesscapes is looking for an Experienced Fence Installation Crew Leader to ensure the proper, efficient, and timely completion of installations and repairs that keep with the high quality standards of our company.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Complete knowledge in fencing material and various installation styles, including but not limited to:
• Vinyl Fencing
• Wood Fencing
• Powder coated aluminum Fencing
• Chain link Fencing
• Lead a small team of Technicians if necessary to complete a wide variety of fencing projects and tasks
• Direct Activities on the job site, including coordinating workflow, hands on work, and operating a variety of machinery, including a stand-on skid steer with a hydraulic auger attachment for digging post holes.
• Manage personnel effectively and efficiently. Ability to lead a team by utilizing primarily positive reinforcement.
• Trains crew members with varying degrees of experience and ability in the best practices of installation and company standards.
• Monitor and account for all tools, equipment, and machinery on site. Identify needed maintenance as soon as it comes up.
• Always maintain a clean and safe worksite.
• Communicates well with all crew members, owner, and clientele
• Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility in the future.

Requirements:

• Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail oriented
• Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management skills and available for long hours during busy season
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to tow large trailers and skid steer with an F-350 Dump truck
• Ability to back up and maneuver trailer efficiently and safely
• Punctual and dependable
• Must be able to pass DOT physical
• Familiar with mobile app-based work orders and record keeping a plus. MUST HAVE A SMARTPHONE.

Applicants Must Meet the Following Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years professional work experience in the fence industry and be able to prove that they have been in charge of installations themselves and/ or led a team of installers themselves
• Valid Drivers’ License that must be maintained for duration of employment. Abstract will be required upon hire.
• Ability to work in most weather conditions, including light rain, heat, cold, wind, etc.
• Ability to perform heavy, physical labor daily. Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Job Details (Including but not limited to):

• Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4-5:30 PM, Sat. work as needed when necessary due to inclement weather or heavy work schedule.
• 40-60 Hours Weekly (Approximation)
• Work Location: Multiple locations
• Main office located in Glenville, N.Y. 12302
• Own Transportation to shop is required, Transportation to and from work sites from shop location will be provided.
• Position Start/ End Date: April through Late November/ December, weather permitting. Winter snow management work available through winter
• Work authorization - United States (Required)
