WESSCAPES : A LANDSCAPE TRANSFORMATION COMPANY
Wesscapes is currently hiring a Landscape Maintenance and Installation Foreman. Duties consist of, but are not limited to, plant and landscape installation, edging, bed prepping, mulching landscape beds, trimming of all types of shrubs / trees on properties. Maintain landscape beds by weeding and occasional misc. duties on other crews when needed. Lead a crew of 2-3 other team members.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Complete knowledge in landscape maintenance and installation, including but not limited to :Knowledge in landscape installation and landscaping maintenance
Lead a team of Landscape Technicians to complete a wide variety of landscape projects and tasksDirect Activities on the job site, including coordinating workflow, hands on work, and operating a variety of machinery.Manage personnel effectively and efficiently. Ability to lead a team by utilizing primarily positive reinforcement.Trains crew members in the best practices of installation and company standards.Monitor and account for all tools, equipment, and machinery on site. Identify needed maintenancePerform routine maintenance on equipment. Includes record keeping of maintenance done, and to be completed.Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times.Operate Dump trucks and maneuver trailers accordingly. Safely drive a truck and trailer in all directions.Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor and clienteleStrives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility.Requirements :
Ability to work outdoors in most weather conditionsExperience Trimming / Pruning, Edging / Prepping / Mulching, Landscape Installation and maintenanceIdentification and knowledge of plants such as perennials, shrubs, evergreens and treesHighly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientedExcellent attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment.Verbal and written communication skillsGood time management skills and available for long hoursPunctual and dependable2-4 Years' Experience Preferred, but will train motivated individuals with less experienceFamiliar with mobile app based work orders and record keeping a plus. MUST HAVE A WORKING SMARTPHONE.Must be able to pass DOT physical.Job Details (Including but not limited to) :
Prune / Trim shrubsShrub plantingBark mulch installationHardscape constructionDigging and RakingMust be able to work outside in all temperatures, reasonable weather conditions, standing and walking for long periods of time.Monday-Friday 7AM to 4-5 PM, Sat. work required when necessary due to inclement weather or heavy work schedule.40-50 Hours per week on average.Must be able to Lift / Carry / Push 50 lbs. when NecessaryRandom, Upon suspicion, Post accident, Employer-Paid Drug test required.Must have Valid Clean driver's license-Abstract will be required upon hire.Must be able to pass a background checkOwn Transportation to shop is required, Transportation to and from work sites from shop location will be provided.Position Start Date : Late March / Early April, possibly sooner for help with winter snow management
