PURPOSE
Contribute to our district's initiative to streamline support, enhance planning, and optimize business processes. This role will collaborate closely with district administrators, department heads, project managers, and solutions support group to design, implement, and customize solutions tailored to meet organizational objectives. Responsibilities include ensuring appropriate access levels across different work groups, aligning solutions with district goals, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the IT landscape. This role will bolster business process efficiency and contribute to maintaining robust solutions while adhering to security protocols and industry standards.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives general supervision from the Data Systems Supervisor and may receive technical and functional direction from the Information Technology Leadership team. Incumbents initially perform the more routine duties assigned to this position and work under close supervision. As experience is gained, incumbents are expected to perform the full range of duties as assigned with increasing independence. The primary duties of this position are performed in a general office environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps to meet organizational and departmental objectives.
- Build canvas and model-driven apps to address specific user needs, optimizing user experience and performance.
- Integrate Power Apps solutions with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Teams, and external data sources.
- Utilize Power Automate to automate workflows and connect disparate systems, streamlining operations and enhancing productivity.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports through Power BI, embedding them into Power Apps for real-time data insights and visualization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring applications address key business processes and user pain points.
- Prototype and iterate applications rapidly using low-code / no-code capabilities to accelerate solution delivery.
- Ensure scalability and performance of Power Apps solutions by applying best practices in design, development, and testing.
- Implement custom connectors and APIs to extend Power Apps functionality and integrate with third-party services.
- Manage app lifecycles from development to deployment, including version control, updates, and ongoing optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Power Apps, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent user experience.
- Stay updated on Microsoft Power Platform advancements, continuously enhancing skills and applying new features to existing and future projects.
- Develop governance policies to manage Power Apps environments, ensuring security, compliance, and proper usage across the district.
- Document application development processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides to build a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Perform regular performance reviews and audits of existing Power Apps solutions to identify improvement areas and drive optimization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge of :
Principles and practices of system configuration and management.Methods and procedures of Atlassian product configuration and customization (e.g., JIRA, Confluence); experience as an Atlassian Product Administrator or similar role highly desired.Methods and procedures of the Software Development lifecycle.Principles and practices of Agile Methodologies.Principles and practices of Project Management.Principles and practices of administering systems in a large complex environment.Operation of a personal computer and job-related software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, database creation and maintenance, information storage and retrieval, and related tasks;English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Current office practices and procedures.Ability to :

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.At least two (2) years of responsible solutions development experience, preferably with experience in low-code / no-code development, business process automation, and workflow optimization.Proficiency in Power Apps (canvas and model-driven apps), Power Automate, and Power BI.Experience developing custom connectors and APIs for Power Apps integrations.Experience with app lifecycle management, version control, and deployment best practices.Experience with JSON, REST APIs, JavaScript, and Power Fx for extending Power Apps capabilities desired.Experience with app lifecycle management, version control, and deployment best practices.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to be flexible in responding to a variety of requests.Microsoft Power Platform certifications desired (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, PL-400)..Must have a valid Idaho Driver's license and vehicle and / or must provide own transportation for job related activities.Essential Physical Abilities
