Kennel Technician (EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

West Ashley Pet Care Center is seeking Experienced Pet Care Provider to join our team-oriented Boarding and Grooming facility. Applicants must have exceptional customer service skills, including proper phone etiquette and a warm, friendly and professional demeanor with clients and co-workers. We are a busy facility, so the ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail. We are looking for an individual who can embrace our compassionate care methods, which include gentle, low-stress care for our boarding and grooming animals and professional, considerate, and genuinely caring attitudes toward our clients. Applicants should have a flexible schedule and must be able to work early mornings, late afternoons, weekends and holidays. Full-time employees work a minimum of 35 hours weekly. We are seeking someone with at least 1 FULL Year of Experience working with animals in a professional capacity. **APPLICATIONS WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED**

***While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards associated with aggressive patients; hazards associated with infected animals and controlled substances; exposure to unpleasant odors and noises; exposure to bites, scratches and animal wastes; possible exposure to contagious diseases.

• *Shifts start as early as 6:00am and go as late as 6:30PM

• You will be expected to work Saturdays and Sundays

• You will be expected to work Holidays

• The work environment can be Very Loud. (We provide ear protection)

• You will be scheduled up to 5 days each week.

• You MUST have your own reliable transportation

• You must have the ability to work unaffected in an environment where dogs are barking.

• Work alone and independently while maintaining productivity.

• Lift and carry objects and animals up to 40lbs unassisted.

• Walk, stand and frequently work in a bent position for extended periods of time.
