PS-6th Instructional Coach

This is a 1.0 FTE position with 16 extended contract days. Candidates must have 3 years teaching experience and 1 year employment with West Branch Community Schools. Please contact building principals with any questions.

Description:

Coaching

• Regularly observe classroom instruction and provide coaching & feedback
• Stay current in research based practices & materials
• Collaborate with building leadership team to plan & deliver professional development--entire staff, small groups, and individuals
• Model research based instructional strategies
• Collaborate and support instructional planning, implementation, and reflection
• Engage in coaching cycles
• Support new to the district teachers (teachers on initial license and teachers on standard license who are new to the district)

Additional Duties

• Serve as a member of a building intervention team
• Serve on building & district leadership teams
• Attend School Improvement Advisory Committee meetings as invited
• Attend school board meetings and provide reports as requested
• Attend district identified professional development (This may include summer learning opportunities and preparations.)

This person is not responsible for:

• teacher evaluations
• student discipline
• daily delivery of instruction
• delivery of student interventions
• individual student or parent communication
