HR Intern

Summary
This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in various HR functions including employee benefits, employee safety, onboarding, employee engagement, and other HR administrative duties. The intern will provide administrative support to the HR Director and Maintenance & Safety Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist with maintaining accurate records and scheduling maintenance appointments.
· Assist with planning and scheduling employee events and training activities.
· Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
· Assist with applicant and employee communications.
· Collaborate with the team to improve employee engagement and experience.
· Performs all other duties as assigned by management. *

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Skill in problem-solving, analytical thinking and risk assessment.
• Skill in developing and implementing project plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to manage time and stressful situations.
Education and Experience
Valid driver’s license required. High school diploma or GED required. Student working towards a degree related to the internship.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to operate computer and other office equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Must have the ability to communicate and collaborate with coworkers and various business partners virtually, face-to-face, and over the phone.
The intern will be expected to work 15-18 hours per week on site at the Abbeville office. This is not a remote internship position.
