The Chief Financial Officer oversees the agency’s financial status and protects the interests of the organization. The CFO is instrumental in making recommendations to clinical operations based on available financial information and forecasts to avert unnecessary risk.
Basic Responsibilities: (partial listing):
- Actively participates in Executive Leadership Team meetings, which involve both the making of long-range policy decision and the addressing of specific problems or concerns, evaluates and advises on the impact of large range planning, introduction or discontinuance of programs, strategic and regulatory actions.
- In collaboration with the CEO and respective leadership, develops an annual budget that reflects a combination of historic patterns and anticipated operational changes.
- Preparation of financial reports for Executive Leadership Team, board finance committee, and the full Board.
- In collaboration with the CEO, recommends and/or negotiates terms and financial conditions of leases, contracts and other agreements.
- Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the agency and ensure compliance with GAAP principles and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
