The Department of Finance and Business Services (FBS) provides timely, accurate and meaningful financial information and advice to the University community to support management decision-making, and to demonstrate fiscal responsibility, accountability, and regulatory compliance to the University's constituents.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst supports business processes through the development, testing implementation and maintenance of technology solutions; serves as a subject matter expert to provide technical guidance on proposed applications; and identifies areas where technology can be leveraged for more effective and efficient business processes.
The ideal candidate will value teamwork and collaboration; demonstrate experience translating business requirements into forms and workflows that produce effective and efficient processes; demonstrate experience using SQL and report writing platforms; have a customer service focus; and the ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse campus community including faculty, staff, and other constituents.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with campus partners to support system design and development
- Provide technical expertise during stakeholder reviews and requirements gathering to ensure best practices
- Assure quality through process mapping, design documentation, and testing
- Oversee new system implementations and modifications
- Deliver services and solutions for the University community using the Hyland OnBase platform
- Develop, deploy and maintain Argos datablocks and reports
- Respond to user support issues
- Develop reports using SAP’s report builder
- Maintain confidential information
- Continually develop professional and technical knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field
- Five (5) Years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or Developer role
- Information systems design experience including software development methodologies, requirements gathering, process mapping, and testing
- Software development experience including relational databases , SQL, and coding languages
- OnBase Administrator Professional certification and OnBase Workflow Administrator Professional certification
- Experience with forms development using OnBase or Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience with report writing platforms including ARGOS
- Experience using SAP Financial and / or Human Capital Management Modules
- Experience using Ellucian Banner Student Information Systems
- Excellent written communication skills
