What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Representative -Front Desk position at WEST COAST INFECTIOUS DISEASES?
Looking for a dynamic Front Desk person/ FT for busy medical specialist’s office. Billing knowledge is a plus. Must be motivated and possess the ability to multitask, great people skills and excellent computer knowledge.
Duties include:
· Answering phones;
· Scheduling appointments;
· Greet patients and check them in and or out;
· Verifying insurance, and reviewing benefits with patients;
· Obtaining insurance authorizations and referrals;
· Record and update all necessary information into EMR, entering demographics;
· Posting charges and collecting co-payments, chart review and prep;
· Follow-up reminder calls to patients;
· Management of the provider schedules, and
· Other duties as assigned, etc.
Professional demeanor and appearance required. Bilingual a plus. Must be a team player.
Must have clean references, and reliable transportation.
Must have great people skills, be motivated and can multitask.
