The Tallow Process Operator is responsible for safely operating the refinery on an ongoing basis as well as polishing the bleaching systems. This role also handles chemicals and process oils and fats into finished products following the Company’s standard operating procedures and performs various other duties around the plant.
Wage: $38 Hourly

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Offload and mix chemicals as needed, while following all standard operating procedures
Assist with railyard/bleach plant/ship loading when necessary
Maintain a daily work log, and a clean and orderly work area
Operate the polishing, bleaching, and filtering systems to ensure the production of high-quality products
Pump tank cars and/or tank truck loads to the designated storage tanks following all “line up” and pumping verification procedures
Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands
Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities
Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and all West Coast Reduction Ltd. policies
Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Possession of a valid Class 4 Steam Ticket an asset
Strong knowledge of Tallow plant operations an asset
Previous experience in a production industry or similar environment an asset
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
Functional Requirements
Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance
Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily
Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products
