Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in programming CNC machines to produce precision parts using SolidWorks. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machining specifications.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software, primarily SolidWorks, for programming and simulation of machining processes.
  • Set up CNC machines, including lathes, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
  • Perform quality checks using tools such as micrometers to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Implement GD&T principles in the programming process to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues as they arise and make necessary adjustments to programs or setups.

Experience

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAM programming is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience operating CNC lathes or similar machinery is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical concepts and geometry relevant to machining processes.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.33 - $32.01 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week
