Job Overview
Our mission here is to provide nutritious meals, companionship, and other services to disabled homebound seniors in community who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. West Contra Costa Meals on Wheels Board accepts applications for a motivating team leader who works well in a fast-paced environment. The Program Director is a very important part of the success of the program, you are overseeing every aspect of the program and submitting reports to the county and other funders to stay compliant in contracts, along with forming relationships with the clients to know what the needs are in the community.
Responsabilities
- Oversee the daily operations of WCCMOW, managing a team of 12 employees and ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Maintain communication with county officials to ensure completion of required training and adherence to program guidelines
- Conduct quarterly staff and volunteer training in collaboration with county representatives to ensure compliance with all necessary certifications and standards.
- Administer payroll for employees and maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records
- Communicate with the board on changes in the program, and updates on what is needed from the county for the upcoming quarter (reports, demands, service units)
- Proficient in SERV Tracker and Get Care
- Overlook the Case Manager who is doing in home reassessments, ensuring its being entered into Get Care Database
- Hiring new staff ( in office, and drivers )
- Ensure training is being completed in a timely manner
- Oversee vehicles maintenance, (oil change, vehicle registrations)
- Ensures compliance with all contracts in place – ensuring all reports are sent out as needed
- Participates in grant writing to better expand the program
- Problems solves when there is an issue with delivery of meals with caterer TRIO
- Schedules board meeting, and send out materials needed before the meeting to the whole board
- Take minutes of the meeting to send to board to approve at the following meeting
- Approve all payments being made for mate
- Applying to new RFPs for new programs that could be added to WCCMOW to better help the clients
- Attends all meetings with vendors, or groups we contract with
- Prepares and attends quarterly meetings with funders
- Work closely with the finance team to close monthly books and ensure all financial documentation is complete.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Insperity HR group, navigating the admin portal for HR-related matters.
- As needed, manage and drive routes to ensure the timely delivery of meals and services
Qualifications
- 2 years with management experience
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding for nonprofit programs
- Team player, communicative, Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in vendor management and negotiating service agreements
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
