GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate ability to consistently meet work schedule demands in the clinic.
Maintains awareness of safety in carrying out duties and responsibilities. Adheres to universal precautions and infection control policies and procedures.
Maintains patient confidentiality and use discretion in patient interactions.
Promote a positive, professional image of the clinic. Promote positive interpersonal relationships with patients and co-workers.
Responsible for initial nursing assessment of all patients prior to being seen by the provider. Assist providers as needed. Provide correct health information either by phone or via mail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for rooming patients, to include but not limited to :
- Vitals
- Initial assessment
- Provide necessary educational material and follow-up as needed.
Assessment of incoming results and notify patient of results as instructed by provider, to include but not limited to :
Triage phone calls
Medication refills via phone and EMR
Schedule surgery and other tests
Assist with in-office procedures
Provide assistance to lab with phlebotomy, injections and urinalysis
Provide support to patients and family members as necessary
Participate in educational programs to include OB / GYN related topics.
Maintain current
Assist with maintaining appropriate supply inventory
Sterilize instruments, maintain and clean autoclave
Any other duties as requested by physicians and / or supervisory staff.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to changes in duties and office policies
Phlebotomy and Gynecological experience preferred
General computer knowledge with EMR system, Mod Med
EDUCATION
Current CMA or CNA license / certification or appropriate experience and training as determined by physicians or supervisor.
