Program Management

  • Accomplishes strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities
  • Manages human resource goals by recruiting, training, coaching, and disciplining employees
  • Communicates job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
  • Enforces policy and procedure
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews and preparing and completing action plans
  • Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards by resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing change.
  • Provide direct supervision for managerial staff on a monthly basis (minimum)
  • Create a safe and positive environment for staff
  • Attending meetings with community providers
  • Manage internal staff meetings
  • Manage (initial) new hire training
  • Ensure program performance, conduct program evaluation and data analysis
  • Delivers presentations to a broad customer community, executive management, and other program stakeholders
  • Manage Board updates
  • Adherence to all internal processes, policies and applicable program and agency standards
  • Development and management for all master plans and schedules
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Strategically locates grants and funding opportunities that will aid in the growth and development of the program
  • Managing quality assurance for program
  • Develop community relationships that forward the development of the program
  • Support the Program Director in new expanded programs in collaboration with staff
  • Provide crisis intervention support to staff as needed
  • Coordinate appropriate ongoing trainings for staff as needed and appropriate
  • Coordinate and order supplies as needed for staff and facilities

Property Management

  • Supervise maintenance and janitorial staff
  • Collaborates and manages vendors and contractors for renovations and maintenance
  • Tour facilities to ensure conditions are appropriate
  • Manage renovation projects
  • Coordinate with managers to ensure no or minimal disruption in client service during maintenance or renovations
  • Budget Management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
  • Preferred degree in the Social and Human Services background, or
  • Preferred degree in Organizational Management is beneficial
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of three years management experience and a track record of effectively leading a performance and outcomes based social services program.
  • Grant writing experience is beneficial
  • Case management background is preferred
  • Youth experience (16-23) is preferred
  • Residential experience is beneficial
  • Foster Care experience is recommended
  • Experience with homeless youth is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of the stages of human development, trauma informed care and mental health

Knowledge of life span development and life skills needed for young adults to become self-sufficient,

Knowledge of various mental health diagnosis that may affect our client population such as separation & loss, abandonment, attachment disorders, trauma, depression and anxiety,

Knowledge of community resources accessible by our clients,

Willingness to work flexible hours,

Organizational skills, and

Written and oral communication skills.

Must not have a criminal background which would cause questions of ability to give constructive guidance to young adults.

Must possess a current Delaware driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Understands the position may require some physical abilities.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Cleaning, moving, and or other duties may be necessary to support the youth through transition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
