We are looking for an experienced and motivated Youth Volleyball League Coordinator to oversee the 3rd-6th grade youth volleyball league. If you have volleyball experience (either playing or officiating) and are familiar with High School and USA Volleyball standards, this is a great opportunity to make an impact in the development of young athletes while leading and managing the league.
Position Overview
As the Youth Volleyball League Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing league activities, managing coaches, and ensuring smooth operations during practices and games. This role involves preparing equipment, setting up and maintaining the volleyball courts, developing practice plans, and providing support to coaches and players.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up equipment for league play and practices (volleyballs, nets set at correct heights, etc.).
- Manage and communicate with coaches to ensure practices and games are properly organized.
- Create practice plans and relay them to coaches for effective practice sessions.
- Supervise and interact with players during practices and games, providing guidance and encouragement.
- Ensure timely start and finish for all games, adhering to league schedules.
- Perform light cleanup of the play area and return equipment to storage after practices and games.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and fun environment for all participants.
Work Schedule
This position requires part-time availability on Monday and Wednesday evenings from June 16th to July 30th, with hours from 5:00 PM to 8:15 PM. Mondays will be dedicated to practice sessions, and Wednesdays will be game nights.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work with youth and coach effectively.
- Experience: Previous volleyball experience (playing or officiating) and familiarity with High School and USA Volleyball standards are required.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of volleyball fundamentals and the ability to create and implement practice plans.
