Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as required.
- Engage in pet grooming activities, including bathing and brushing, to promote hygiene and comfort.
- Support dog training sessions by reinforcing commands and positive behaviors.
- Ensure proper handling of animals during playtime, walks, and exercise sessions.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both animals and clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in veterinary settings or animal handling is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with pet care practices such as pet sitting, kennel operations, or grooming is advantageous.
- Skills in heavy lifting are necessary to manage larger breeds or equipment safely.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques is beneficial for ensuring safety during interactions.
- A background in dog training or as a veterinary technician will be considered a plus.
