**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician
Summary:
This role is responsible for the installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. The incumbent will troubleshoot and perform bench repair as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance on plant property and equipment.
- Specialize in maintenance on equipment employing hydraulics and/or pneumatic functions.
- Have a thorough understanding of established safety procedures to be employed throughout the mill.
- Operate mobile equipment, including man lifts, cranes, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
- Install, upgrade, or retrofit equipment used within an OSB mill environment.
- Complete detailed maintenance/inspection according to manufacture or Company guidelines.
- Prepare basic drawings to support in-house fabrication requirements.
- Coordinate with the Electrical Section of the Maintenance Department to maximize maintenance efficiencies.
- Use various welding techniques in the fabrication or repair of operating equipment.
Requirements:
- A.A. degree with a concentration in industrial maintenance.
- Five or more years of verifiable manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, welding, and fabricating.
- Project development experience from inception to completion.
Work Environment:
This position requires working a 12-hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
