Job Description:
At West Fraser, our Industrial Electrician plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our operations. This individual is responsible for repairing, replacing, installing, programming, and testing all electrical circuits and equipment. Occasionally, this role will also perform or assist in repairs or installation of electrical controls systems.
The successful candidate must have a strong background in electrical fundamentals, proven work experience, and an understanding of electrical schematics. Additionally, they should possess advanced electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components of mill equipment
- Repair, modify, and maintain various electrical equipment
- Remain current in technical changes and equipment designs by attending necessary classes as required
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
- Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules, regulations, and guidelines
