Key Responsibilities:
- Operate kilns in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and rules
- Demonstrate ability to be a team player by participating in team meetings, contributing, and treating everyone with respect
- Maintain all kiln drying records
- Load and unload kilns using a forklift
- Assist and coordinate in the greasing of kiln motors and cars
- Check kiln fans for rotation
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to operate computer systems at kilns
- Make adjustments on drying schedules as needed
- Perform daily moisture checks
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment
- Ability to bend, twist, lift, climb, stand throughout the duration of the shift
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Minimum of six (6) months in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
