POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will manage the financial records for assigned West Health entities, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. Key responsibilities include month-end closing procedures, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role supports the finance team’s objectives and contributes to annual audits and tax preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains. A detail-oriented and proactive team player, the Staff Accountant will help advance West Health’s mission.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare month-end closing procedures for assigned West health entities, including but not limited to payroll related journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, and expense accrual journal entries.
- Enter regularly scheduled transactions, such as depreciation / amortization, prepaid expenses, etc.
- Prepare and analyze monthly expense reports to ensure accuracy and proper accounting coding.
- Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Compile and deliver accurate quarterly financial reports for assigned West Health entities.
- Support the annual audit and tax preparation processes, as needed.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000
