Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Pizza Maker to join our culinary team and prepare high-quality pizzas according to customers’ orders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of pizza preparation, including dough preparation, ingredient slicing, and maintaining a clean and safe workstation. To succeed in this role, you must adhere to kitchen safety protocols and be capable of training and mentoring kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and a variety of toppings, including tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats.
• Monitor the temperature and cooking times of the pizza ovens.
• Create high-quality pizzas following company recipes and standards.
• Manage inventory and place orders for supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation before, during, and after pizza preparation.
• Ensure all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use.
• Plate or package pizzas accurately and attractively.
• Manage food order slips and ensure timely completion of customers’ orders.
• Dispose of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of experience in food preparation and handling, specifically in pizza making.
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures: Familiarity with food safety regulations and protocols is essential.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes: Precision and consistency in following recipes are crucial.
• Fast-paced environment adaptability: Must be able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting.
• Team collaboration skills: Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Excellent communication skills: Clear and effective communication with team members and management.
• Exceptional customer service skills: Commitment to providing outstanding service to our guests.

Physical Requirements:

• Withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater for periods of 30 minutes or more.
• Move 50 lbs. distances of up to 100 ft.
• Understand and respond to verbal requests and visual cues in a loud and extremely busy environment.
• Must be able to walk and stand for periods up to 5 hours.
