The ACT Clinical Services Aid (CSA ) - Peer Certified is a member of a team that is responsible for providing direct consumer care and rehabilitation. The employee must maintain standards of services as established to assist the team is attaining the goals of the program, as well as assist consumers in attaining their personal goals. The CSA brings a consumer perspective to the team by being an active participant in treatment planning, encouraging consumer empowerment and consumer involvement to the fullest extent possible at multi-disciplinary team meetings, inpatient treatment team meetings, and the use of natural and community supports/resources as outlined in the plan of service.
The position incumbent will provide a wide range of direct assistance to adults (within the scope of his/her training) under the guidance and leadership of the assigned care manager and within the framework of the consumers Person Centered Plan of Service.
The Clinical Services Aide will provide mentoring, family skills training, and social skill development for consumer referred to the program by involving the consumer in activities either in the home or community, as agreed through the Person-Centered Planning process with the consumer. The Clinical Services Aide is also responsible (along with the consumer and other team members) to facilitate the development of a natural support network. This could involve introducing the consumer to community activities and supporting them in attending community activities. Services provided by the Clinical Services Aide will be part of the Person-Centered Plan and will be under the guidance and leadership of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
