The West Monona Community School District is seeking a dedicated Math Curriculum and Mentoring Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will involve providing training and support to teachers and administrators in the implementation of research-based math curriculum and interventions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education or Curriculum and Instruction
- At least 10 years of experience in teaching, administration, or consulting
- Experience with the Numeracy Project
- Familiarity with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Proven experience in leading professional development and supporting its implementation
- Background in providing mentoring and induction programs
- Experience in supporting the implementation of research-based math interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create and implement focused plans in all classrooms
- Maintain positive and supportive relationships with staff members
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of K-6 math plans and interventions
- Contribute to the development of required state and local reports, including CSIP and Annual Progress Reports
- Attend board meetings as requested
- Serve as a liaison between administration and staff to communicate district needs
- Plan and deliver mandatory mentoring training for new staff and ensure proper documentation
- Communicate new legislative requirements to the leadership team to ensure compliance
- Work closely with building principals on the adoption and implementation of math materials, interventions, curriculum, and programs
- Maintain consistent communication with staff to ensure fidelity to the math programming
- Model and co-teach lessons, providing coaching and support for math curriculum implementation
- Be open to additional training or certification as needed
- Make recommendations regarding district resource allocation to the Superintendent and principals
- Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
