Summary: Supports the Director of Human Resources in maintaining all aspects of human resources duties. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Excellent customer service focus, creative and innovative problem-solving, stellar communication skills, able to complete projects with the highest attention to detail, and a high degree of flexibility are keys to success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as business needs dictate:
- Administers all associate benefit programs including helping to conduct open enrollment training and meetings and assisting associates with questions or enrollment problems.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Manage all associate documentation including employment files, medical files, time keeping records, and benefits records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Capable of communicating with associates in a professional manner in all areas of Human Resources.
- Assist HR Director in the development and communication of human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
- Assist with Employee Relations events, involved with the planning, execution and coordination of HR related company events and employee programs.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
- Maintains technical and professional knowledge by attending seminars, establishing networks and reviewing professional publications.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of human resources generalist experience ideally at a senior or executive level.
- PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR certification is desired.
