Counter Sales

Overview
The Front Counter Sales Representative at West Omaha Winsupply is responsible for managing in-store customer interactions, answering phone inquiries, processing sales transactions, and has the ability to lift 50lbs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for walk-in customers and phone inquiries, requiring product knowledge, exceptional customer service, and efficient sales skills. The representative must effectively handle both in-person and phone interactions to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally as they enter the store, assess their needs, and assist with product selection.
• Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, addressing customer queries, providing product information, taking orders, and offering solutions.
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to make accurate recommendations.
• Accurately process customer orders, ensuring correct product selection and timely fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate records of customer orders, returns, and interactions for future reference.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the plumbing, HVAC, or industrial product industries.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical products in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Strong active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service both on the phone and in-person.
• Strong phone etiquette, with the ability to remain calm and patient in all customer interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM or sales software.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software or tools used in the plumbing industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.72 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
